JGA are partnered with a leading chartered accounts, who are seeking an Assistant Payroll Manager to join their busy payroll function.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the payroll team.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of service.
- Managing a client portfolio and their payrolls.
- Act as the first point of contact for the team’s technical queries.
- Handle internal and client inquiries.
- Recommend improvements to payroll procedures and team operations.
- Assist in monitoring, training, and developing team members.
- Experience working in a client or bureau setting.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a small team.
- Knowledgeable in payroll legislation, compliance, and auto-enrolment.
- Strong payroll software knowledge.
- Ability to manually calculate PAYE and NIC.
