?As a result of a recent internal promotion, Chambers is seeking to recruit an Assistant Practice Manager. The position involves general clerking and administration duties on behalf of an appointed team of barristers, as directed by a Practice Manager.
?On a day to day basis, the role will involve advising solicitors on the availability of counsel, diary management, fee negotiation, liaising with court staff to obtain listings and to fix hearing dates, logging receipt of papers and arranging conferences.
?The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of their appointed team of barristers, liaising on a regular basis with clerking colleagues, reporting to their Practice Manager and working closely with all members and support staff.
?Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 GSCE's at A-C (or equivalent), excellent interpersonal skills, a focused and proactive approach and should be articulate and client friendly.
