We are seeking a Business Support Assistant to provide comprehensive business, administrative, and personal assistant support primarily focused on Latin America. This role is crucial in supporting the Associate Vice-Principal Strategic Partnerships at the University, particularly in managing international travel and complex diary schedules.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide administrative and personal assistant support to the Assistant Vice-Principal.
  • Arrange international travel and manage a complex diary of conflicting priorities for the Associate Vice-Principal Strategic Partnerships.
  • Handle logistical arrangements for international trips and overseas workshops aimed at student recruitment, including flights, accommodation, itineraries, and programmes.
  • Offer administrative and secretarial services for meetings, including preparing agenda papers, minute taking, and following up on actions. Also involves hosting and inviting external guests.
  • Support with the production of reports, business papers, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents.
  • Undertake financial administration tasks such as procurement, raising purchase orders, and processing expense claims, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in organising international and national events to enhance the university’s profile.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar administrative or personal assistant role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using office software including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Experience in financial administration and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Ability to work on-site 4 days a week, including Thursdays and Fridays - Essential
