One of the UK's majortouristattractionsis currently looking to recruit an EngineeringManager to work as part of theirsenior management team to help and assist in managing this uniqueasset based in South East London.
In the role you will be accountable for its safe and efficient operation and the maintenance of the associated infrastructure.
The role will also ensure effectivemanagement of all engineering activities on site, providingtechnical expertise, and maintaining strong and regular communications with all involvedstakeholders.
The role has responsibility for managing the budget for all facilities management, assetmanagement and CAPEX budgets.
The role has line management responsibilities for thefacilities management team and will also manage interactions with wider asset management and engineering teams.
The main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Develop and implement a long term asset management strategy and plan
- Ensure the maintenance of the asset register and lead all inspections andcondition monitoring
- Oversee maintenance and renewals of major assets
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company policies
- Identify and manage all engineering safety risks
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives - reducing downtime, increasing efficiencies in collaboration with the key subcontractors etc.
- Managing the CAPEX budget and investment spend to ensure successful maintenance and continual improvement.
- Lead all capital projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide assurance on the interpretation of technical drawings, design, and modification to any existing or new assets
- Be the main point of contact for all engineering matters
- Fully electricallyor mechanically qualified to a recognisedstandard
- Ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
- Previous experience of working as an Engineering Manager or Operations and Maintenance
- Leading Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in a position of responsibility in either theme park, railway, manufacturingor leisure industry.
- Ex forces background is also welcome.
- Asset Management Information systems experience
- Basic Health & Safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Broad engineering knowledge and experience of implementing best practice in themaintenance of mechanical, electrical and infrastructure assets and systems.
