They are seeking a passionate and skilled Business Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their cutting-edge projects in the renewable energy sector.The Business Manager will provide support to the CEO. This is a fast-paced, challenging role that requires someone who has high credibility, strong business acumen, a highly proactive approach, can anticipate requirements and work autonomously.As a Business Manager, you will be required to manage a wide range of tasks that are often urgent, complex and sensitive. You must therefore be able to build a sound, high level knowledge of the business as well as be adaptable, calm under pressure, be able to handle a range of issues with diplomacy, discretion and a "can do" attitude.Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as a gatekeeper and advocate on behalf of the CEO, responsible for ensuring his priorities are driven forward, communicating these effectively to his Executive Team and the wider business groups as well as providing an interface to staff at all levels across the business;
  • Support the CEO in managing his overall workload and priorities and ensuring he is fully prepared for meetings;
  • Identify and handle potential risks, knowing when to tackle issues directly and when to escalate them to the appropriate person;
  • Distribute work to the Executive Assistant to the CEO as necessary.
  • As a representative of the CEO, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and reliable under pressure are also essential.
  • Prepare and edit correspondences, communications and other documents as required by the CEO;
  • Schedule meetings, prepare presentations materials, agendas and take minutes during meetings when required;
  • Manage multiple projects, working collaboratively with a number of senior stakeholders within the business;
  • Able to identify opportunities and take initiative and respond rapidly;
  • Interpret financials, management information, produce analysis and present.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent;
  • Good knowledge of the renewable energy sector;
  • You will have a proven track record of undertaking analysis and driving activitythrough others;
  • Experience at providing support at an executive level;
  • Understand complex business problems, lead, plan and manage change and complex projects;
  • Be well organised and assertive, professional and confident with the ability to effectively organise your own and the CEO’s workload.
  • Project Management skills backed up by a good understanding of business systems and processes that need to be in place to deliver on targeted budgets and successful projects;
  • Intelligence: You will have the ability to understand complex concepts quickly and apply these learnings to new and existing situations;
  • Curiosity: You will be naturally questioning, and always be keen to learn and improve;
  • Coach-ability: You will be open to taking direction, and have the enthusiasm to grow and develop;
  • Line management: Track record of getting the best out of others and contributing towards their personal development.
  • Work ethic: You will have a strong work ethic and a great desire to over-deliver;
  • Communication: You will be a fantastic written and verbal communicator, with particularly good proposal writing skills and in addition to adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered;
  • Confidentiality: You will be required to uphold the strictest level of confidentiality;
  • Broad business experience, including an understanding of strategic planning, governance and project management;
  • MS Office: Strong Microsoft skills, including pivot tables, graphs and charts;
  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills and the ability to work and think strategically as well as collaboratively;
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding deadlines;
  • Flexibility is required to be successful in this role.

Remuneration: Remuneration will be related to skills and experience.In addition to the above responsibilities, the jobholder is required to perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor/line manager from time to time.
