The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Project Delivery: Support the Site Manager in managing all aspects of site operations, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Health & Safety: Help implement and monitor site-specific health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and health and safety policies.
- Team Coordination: Assist in managing subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet project objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets the required standards, addressing any quality issues promptly and efficiently.
- Documentation & Reporting: Help maintain accurate site records, including daily site reports, material logs, and progress updates, ensuring all documents are up to date.
- Problem Solving: Assist the Site Manager in identifying and resolving on-site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the project schedule.
- Client Liaison: Assist in liaising with clients, stakeholders, and other external parties, ensuring excellent communication and timely updates on project progress.
About You:
We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager who has:
- Experience: Previous experience in a construction site role, with a good understanding of the construction process. This may include a role such as a Site Assistant, Junior Site Manager, or similar.
- Qualifications: A relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent) is preferred. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety certification is a plus.
- Leadership Potential: Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the internal team.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive attitude towards addressing issues on site and finding practical solutions to ensure project success.
