  • Design Leadership: Lead the design of domestic solar systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and are optimised for maximum performance. You’ll be responsible for managing renewable energy projects and integrating new technologies into the business.
  • Product Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new solar products and technologies, offering expert guidance on market trends, and driving innovation in solar and battery technologies.
  • Installer Collaboration: Build strong relationships with installers, ensuring smooth project execution by maintaining detailed installation plans and material lists.
  • Policy & Industry Engagement: Represent the company as an industry expert at key events and stay informed on regulatory changes, ensuring our designs and processes stay ahead of market shifts.
What You Bring
  • Design Expertise: Proven experience in designing domestic solar systems with a deep understanding of MCS guidelines.
  • Product Knowledge: A solid grasp of current solar and renewable energy technologies and the ability to assess and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Installer Know-How: Strong collaboration skills, with experience in installation processes and materials selection.
  • Adaptability: The ability to respond quickly to market and regulatory changes, adjusting internal processes and designs as needed.
  • Leadership & Communication: Confident in leading cross-functional teams and representing the business as a thought leader in the renewable energy space.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
  • Solar PV qualifications (preferred but not essential)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar PV design software (e.g., Open Solar)
