Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a very recognisable and popular brand, to recruit for a We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Health & Safety to lead our country coordination efforts in implementing Health & Safety (H&S), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and security strategic priorities. This role is crucial in ensuring that all programs are effectively implemented and that compliance with company requirements is solid and sustainable.



Day-to-day of the role:

  • Create and inspire a compelling vision for H&S that aligns with our overarching goals, aiming to build a zero-accidents culture.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and orientation to the country leadership team on local H&S programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Health & Safety Management Systems, guarantee compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support in identifying, assessing, and managing occupational H&S risks along the value chain, participate in local root cause analyses, and H&S cross audits.
  • Develop and adapt standards, guidance materials, and training to support the implementation of the H&S strategy.
  • Periodically report progress to the country leadership using appropriate performance indicators and management review processes.
  • Drive the professional development of H&S professionals across the country, ensuring a solid professional support network and succession pipeline.
  • Coordinate and implement international standards like ISO 45001 certifications and follow up.
  • Act as a member of the H&S network within the organisation, sharing significant incidents, lessons learned, and expertise.
  • Conduct independent compliance assessments, field observations, inspections, and provide coaching and guidance within the country.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a H&S manager in a complex production plant and warehouses.
  • Over 5 years' experience in developing and deploying H&S culture change and training.
  • Extensive experience in risk management, BCM, and security.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing H&S management systems, programs, and procedures across multiple locations.
  • Production or maintenance manager experience is advantageous.
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of local legislation and ISO OHSAS systems.
  • Formal safety certification.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
