Role Description:
Our client is an established compliance company, providing comprehensive compliance solutions to thousands of customers for health, safety, electrical, fire and water treatment surrounding a range of service areas. They are networking for an exciting opportunity which will see a Head of Operations join their growing Team in London. As Head of Operations, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and that the company has the correct processes in place to handle continued business growth. Ideally, the Head of Operations will have proven experience in driving and growing an operational function, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

To lead and develop the existing staff and work with both the office and remote teams (including contractors) in order to facilitate business success

Work closely with the owner and MD, to develop and execute business change and strategic operational advancement of the organisation

Be able to identify, target and resolve operational issues

Be an effective planner and be able to work with multiple different stakeholders in order to reach "best practice"

Ensure efficient scheduling and planning of the field workers workload

Maintain quality and adherence to standards across all services
Requirements:

Experience of driving and growing an operational function - ideally having had responsibility for managing work flows and scheduling with office and remote teams

Excellent leadership skills. Able to provide support to staff where required and provide coaching in order to enable the team to reach their potential

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential. This person should be able to react quickly to any unforeseen changes and be able to develop processes in order to eradicate any repetitive operational issues

Be a confident communicator and be able to deal with multiple internal and external contacts

Experience leading a multi-service operational department

Creativity - someone who brings solutions rather than problems

An understanding of the benefits of KPIs and metrics as a driver of business planning with the ability to use statistics to plan headcount changes

Someone very commercially aware who understands the importance of timing and scheduling such that each field person is able to complete the maximum number of jobs per day

Commercially aware and with a commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of work being delivered in the field
