Job Description:
My client is seeking an experienced No.1 Site Manager to oversee a 500K commercial fit-out project in West London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing fast-paced fit-out projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery while coordinating subcontractors and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the site team to ensure the successful completion of the fit-out within budget and timeline.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce H&S regulations, ensuring a safe working environment in line with CDM regulations.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to schedules.
- Programme & Progress Monitoring: Track project progress against the programme, adjusting plans where necessary to meet deadlines.
- Quality Control: Ensure all works meet required standards and specifications, conducting regular snagging and inspections.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
- Material & Logistics Management: Oversee site deliveries, materials, and plant to ensure smooth workflow.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager on similar fit-out projects (500K+ value).
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-outs, including partitions, ceilings, M&E coordination, and finishing trades.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold Card), and First Aid certification are essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience using project management software and reporting tools.
