Onboarding and Operations Manager

Salary: Basic £70,000.00 - £100,000.00

Working Hours: 3 days a week in London Office, 2days working from home

Our client is seeking a Onboarding and Operations Manager to lead our clients team of six Automotive Aftersales Specialists and drive the onboarding operations to the next level.

Onboarding and Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Your team is responsible for onboarding new customers,
  • Working with DMS vendors to establish data connections
  • overseeing installations across dealer networks
  • You'll lead operational improvements
  • Tech-driven automation, performance culture development, and capacity planning
  • Team Leadership & People Management

o Lead and coach a high-performing team of 6 Automotive Aftersales Specialists

o Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

o Define clear goals and KPIs; implement performance metrics and feedback loops

o Hire and onboard 2 mid-level managers as the team grows

o Support future planning for a senior Ops executive hire and broader organisational structure

  • Onboarding & Installation Operations

o Oversee all aspects of new customer onboarding across small and large dealer groups

o Coordinate closely with DMS vendors to establish and maintain reliable data connections

o Manage installations as project requests with clear timelines and communication

o Ensure successful delivery and integration through effective project oversight

  • Process Improvement & Automation

o Evaluate and streamline onboarding workflows, identifying opportunities for automation

o Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to drive improvements

o Drive adoption of new tech tools and operational efficiencies in data onboarding

  • Data Integrity & Technical Oversight

o Oversee data quality checks and investigations, ensuring completeness and integrity

o Leverage SQL and database management knowledge to support issue resolution and QA

o Provide escalation support and problem-solving for complex onboarding cases

  • Strategic Planning & Reporting

o Build capacity planning tools to ensure scalability and workload visibility

o Own executive-level reporting on onboarding performance, trends, and risks

o Proactively identify resourcing gaps and make recommendations for future scale

The Ideal Onboarding and Operations Manager:

  • Strong operational and project management background in a client-facing environment
  • Experience managing technical or data-focused teams in a fast-paced setting
  • Understanding of automotive aftersales, DMS systems (e.g. Keyloop), or similar industries
  • Comfort with technical tools - familiarity with SQL, databases, and Excel is essential
  • Process-oriented with a knack for streamlining workflows and managing change
  • Excellent communicator and people manager with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Organised, innovative, and always thinking two steps ahead
