Our client is responsible for undertaking several high-profile remediation projects across 66 high rise occupied blocks.
Their aim is to deliver complex projects on time, within budget and provide their stakeholders with the comfort that the team are successfully delivering these complex projects on commercial and residential properties while being mindful that the works are impacting people's homes.
They are now seeking to appoint an Operations Manager to be based in Southwark.
This position will directly support the Managing Director in site-wide strategic planning, construction programme reviews and reporting for the estate remediation works.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the construction managers to review construction programmes, driving efficiency's to support the MD in ensuring programmes are delivered on time and to budget.
- Review programmes and refine scopes, trouble shoot challenges with construction managers
- Review cost models from external consultants driving efficiency's
- Review procurement and packages
- Drive operational efficiency's, resource allocation and process optimisation
- In conjunction with the MD, enhance or implement scalable controls and procedures to allow the rapid expansion of the works programme.
- Ensure delivery of succinct, robust, and clear reports which are fit for presentation to the Board and other stakeholders, and which draw on inputs from external (QSs, Consultants) and internal sources.
- Oversight company health & safety policy, mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
The profile:
- A formal CIOB qualification
- Proven experience delivering residential schemes in occupied buildings within a contractor or developer - essential
- Team leadership and mentoring skills
