We are partnering with a renowned independent business in the food production industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to oversee the operations of a production kitchen in Hackney, focusing on plant-based products. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food production management, team coordination, and inventory control.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead the entire production process from start to finish, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
- Manage rotas and assign tasks to a dedicated team of production staff.
- Oversee ordering, stock control, and inventory management to maintain production flow.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks to uphold product standards.
- Train new staff and provide ongoing training for existing team members.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure proper filing.
- Assist with cleaning, packaging, and labelling as needed to support team efforts.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food production, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Proven ability in production scheduling and inventory control.
- Excellent attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kg regularly.
- Proactive, positive, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Interest in plant-based foods is highly desirable.
- Must hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Experience with SALSA certification or extensive record-keeping is preferred.
- Competitive salary of £38,000 to £40,000 per year.
- 3 days of paid sick leave after probation.
