We are partnering with a renowned independent business in the food production industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to oversee the operations of a production kitchen in Hackney, focusing on plant-based products. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food production management, team coordination, and inventory control.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the entire production process from start to finish, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
  • Manage rotas and assign tasks to a dedicated team of production staff.
  • Oversee ordering, stock control, and inventory management to maintain production flow.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct quality control checks to uphold product standards.
  • Train new staff and provide ongoing training for existing team members.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure proper filing.
  • Assist with cleaning, packaging, and labelling as needed to support team efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food production, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability in production scheduling and inventory control.
  • Excellent attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kg regularly.
  • Proactive, positive, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Interest in plant-based foods is highly desirable.
  • Must hold a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Experience with SALSA certification or extensive record-keeping is preferred.
