Social Housing | Reactive/Repairs Site Manager | £32 - £38 per hour

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager with a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality reactive maintenance services within the social housing sector?

Our client, a leading social housing provider, is seeking an exceptional Reactive/Repairs Site Manager to join their dynamic team. This critical role will involve overseeing a team of operatives to ensure the timely and effective delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services to tenants across a designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of operatives, including tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, and joiners.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Plan and schedule work effectively to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption to tenants.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including conducting toolbox talks and ensuring safe work practices.
  • Utilise relevant software systems (e.g., IMPACT, ServiceNow) to track work orders, monitor progress, and generate reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any potential issues that may arise.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the social housing sector, with a strong focus on reactive maintenance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong 1 understanding of building regulations and relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Valid SMSTS, SSSTS, and First Aid certificates.
  • Hold relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Construction Site Supervision).
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Experience using relevant software systems for work order management.

  • Experience in managing a diverse team of operatives.
  • Knowledge of building regulations relating to accessibility.
