Senior Site Manager (Shell & Core/Facade)

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in shell & core and facades to join a leading contractor on a high-profile residential development in West London. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing external packages, with a focus on structural, envelope, and facade works, and must possess a solid understanding of construction programming and sequencing.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of shell & core and façade packages from inception to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Develop, review, and update construction programmes, including short-term lookahead schedules, in conjunction with the project planner.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to maintain programme deadlines and quality standards.

Manage quality assurance, health & safety compliance, and inspection/test plans for all external works.

Provide technical guidance on façade systems, including curtain walling, cladding, glazing, brickwork, and roofing systems.

Attend and lead regular site progress meetings, ensuring coordination between trades and resolving any interface issues.

Work closely with the design, commercial, and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of design information and procurement of materials.

Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and QA documentation.

Requirements:

Minimum 8+ years experience as a Site Manager, with proven track record on shell & core and facade packages on large-scale residential projects.

Strong knowledge of construction programming (ideally with Asta Powerproject or MS Project experience).

Excellent understanding of facade systems and associated installation processes.

SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certified.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.

Experience working for Tier 1 or reputable Main Contractors preferred.
