Construction Project Site Manager
Location: Retail Site in North West London
Reporting to:  Senior Project Manager
Day rate: £350-£425/d Outside IR35

One of the UK’s leading specialist in the design, build, financing and operation of EV solar car parks. We are passionate about renewable energy and believe that providing sufficient EV charging infrastructure is the key to enabling the UK’s rapid switch to EVs.
 
Role Overview:
Site-based manager required to facilitate the installation of a solar car park project.
The applicant should possess the required varied skillset to cover all technical, commercial and quality requirements of this high-profile project involving multiple disciplines.
About the Role
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 
  • A focus and championing of HSEQ across the landscape
  • Verifying and managing schedules, specifications and other technical information with the engineering team and suppliers
  • Managing subcontractors, design and resources
  • Assisting the Project Lead with reporting, scheduling and management
  • Implementing QA procedures on site
  • Collaboratively actioning items within the Risk Management System
  • Ensuring value for money within the project budget
  • Supporting the business to implement CDM 2015 roles & activities
  • Identifying & mitigating project risk exposure
  • Diligently and accurately keeping records and diaries
  • Producing accurate and detailed reports, summaries, sketches and diagrams as required to support project delivery
 
About You
You will have a proven track record in site and project engineering, with a good eye for detail and be ideally conversant in solar and related disciplines.
 
You are highly self-motivated and a team player, happy to work closely with the team to deliver timely projects to cost and quality expectations.
 
 You are:

  • Experienced in managing external consultants, contractors and other third party stakeholders
  • Conversant in a range of construction and project delivery processes
  • Proactive, positive, enthusiastic, flexible and focused on delivery and results
 
Essential qualifications, skills & experience:
  • Site construction management experience with the required industry accreditations (SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, CDM Awareness, First Aid in the Workplace)
  • High regard for Health, Safety, Quality, Environment & CDM
  • The ability and motivation to organise, prioritise and deliver on time
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to get the best from colleagues, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Impeccable resolution and conflict management, analytical and project engineering skills
  • High aptitude in the use of the Office 365 suite & MS Project
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • UK driving licence Desirable:
  • Solar & electrical experience
  • Degree/NVQ level 6 or 7 in construction or a relevant engineering discipline
