We are seeking a driven, hungry Site Manager to join our client's team for a flagship project in the heart of Knightsbridge. This is a major redevelopment of an iconic building valued in excess of 170Mil. The development is currently undergoing structural changes and is due to kick off with fit-out works in late March or early April. The client are seeking a site manager who has an engineering background, who can get involved in datum checks (floor plates, atriums, lift shafts etc).
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Manager to take charge of our commercial/retail fit-out project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site management along with engineering competencies, particularly in carrying out datum checks and ensuring the technical integrity of our projects. Tier 1 contractor site managersand strong commercial fit-out site managers will be preffered for this position. This is an iconic project that will add real value to any CV and is not one to miss out on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management:Oversee day-to-day operations on site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Engineering Duties:Perform datum checks and quality assurance to guarantee accurate installation and alignment of building components.
- Team Leadership:Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Compliance:Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe site for all personnel.
- Reporting:Regularly update project stakeholders on progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Quality Control:Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that the project meets client specifications.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in commercial/retail fit-out projects.
- Strong engineering background, with experience in performing datum checks.
- Positive attitude, desire to learn and progress through the ranks long-term
- Tier 1 contracting experience or experience working for a strong commercial fit-out contractor
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Solid knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
