Mach Recruitment is recruiting for Technical and Quality Assistant to work in a large food production and distribution site Wimbledon, South West London.
The role:
As a Technical and Quality Assistant, you will be working within a food production environment, and your duties will be as followed:
Perform quality check on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications
Maintaining and monitoring of HCAPP systems and CCP records
Implementation and verification of quality standards and procedures across the production process
Preparing for third party audits and customer inspections
Ensure all documentation complies with UK food safety regulations
Managing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
Work closely with the production team to address quality related issues and identify process improvements
Assist in developing and maintaining product specifications, technical documentation, and labelling compliance under EU/UK regulations
Provide technical support during new product development trials
Maintain accurate records of quality checks, test results, and incidents in line with BRCGS standards
Prepare quality performance reports and KPIs for internal review
Help train production staff on food safety, HACCP principles, and quality standards
Contribute to fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the company
About you:
As a Technical and Quality Assistant, you will have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance environment
Familiarity with HCAPP, GMP, and UK/EU food safety regulations
Understanding of BRCGS standards, SALSA accreditation, or similar food safety certification schemes is advantageous
Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to problem solve
