About the Company:I am recruiting for a boutique market research agency with around 70 employees. The company works with clients across diverse sectors including FMCG, finance, automotive, leisure, and healthcare. They specialize in Brand & Comms research as well as customer experience insights. The team is dynamic, collaborative, and passionate about delivering actionable data-driven insights.

The Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to contribute to a variety of market research projects. You will assist with both the design and analysis of research projects, focusing on analytic techniques like segmentation and driver analysis. You will work under the guidance of senior data science team members, gaining valuable experience with both foundational and advanced analytic methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and analyzing market research projects with an analytic component (e.g., driver analysis, segmentation, conjoint).
  • Clean and analyze survey data, producing insights through simple tables and more complex exploratory analyses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure appropriate statistical techniques are deployed.
  • Learn standard marketing and analytic techniques, progressing to more advanced methods over time.
  • Contribute to delivering insights that address key client questions, moving beyond just analytical models.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in R (data wrangling, function writing, string processing).
  • Experience with statistical software such as SPSS is an advantage. Python knowledge is also beneficial.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and comfort with MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to coding.
  • A curiosity for data and the ability to understand and address client needs.
  • Focus on delivering actionable insights from data, rather than just models or techniques.
  • Experience with segmentation, MaxDiff, or Conjoint is desirable.
