You'll collaborate with the Data and Insights team and a Business Unit to drive informed commercial strategies. In this role, you will analyse secondary data, conduct primary market research, and perform competitor analyses to support strategic market planning, revenue forecasting, and the enhancement of commercial campaigns.

You'll translate complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing.

Description

The successful Data and Insights Associate, will be responsible for the below:

  • To conduct and interpret market and brand analysis (using national and regional level data where appropriate) for the development of strategic and operational brand plans.
  • To provide Competitive Intelligence to anticipate changes in market landscape and begin to shape the environment to their competitive advantage.
  • Monitor the performance of individual brands through management and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results and recommendations to the brand teams.
  • Develop a pro-active market research/project plan (with support) for each brand which aligns with business needs.
  • Design, commission and manage market research (with coaching/ support) or other third-party analysis necessary for the development of the brand covering aspects of strategy and promotional campaign implementation.
  • To provide analytical and research outputs as required supporting business decisions on promoted products within the organisation's portfolio.
  • The D&I Associate will maintain and improve relevant aspects of the data warehouse system in close collaboration with their colleagues in D&I (particularly the Data & Insights Manager).
  • To provide support in specific projects as well as back up within the Data, Digital, and Technology team as required.
  • To rapidly learn and develop new skills, and to keep up with developments in data, analytics, and the pharmaceutical industry environment.

Profile

The successful Data and Insights Associate, will have:

  • Strong analytical aptitude (numeracy or a quantitative focus demonstrated in educational or professional history).
  • Emerging presentation skills, aims to communicate technical material in a non-technical manner.
  • Experience in a data-related, quantitative, or technical role. Power BI experience desired, or alternatively a closely-related reporting tool (e.g. Tableau or Qlik, advanced MS Excel). Forecasting experience or market research experience is desirable.
  • Some understanding of pharmaceutical data is desirable (e.g. IQVIA, Wilmington, Cegedim, NHS data, in-market and ex-factory sales data).
  • Emerging business acumen and curiosity around effective marketing and sales strategy in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Willing to challenge thinking at all levels of the business, embracing diverse views that improve decision making.
