Location: Homebased (once a month in the West London office)

If so, a leading energy broker is looking for a Business Development Executive to engage with mid-market customers to sell a range of products and services. The Business Development Executive, will be a true 'hunter’ used to researching the market and potential target businesses and generating their own leads. Key Responsibilities:

  • New business sales which will involve a substantial volume of 'cold-calls’, networking etc.
  • Promoting the Company’s products and services to a targeted 'mid-market’ businesses.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally
  • Achieving and exceeding targets across a range of key deliverables.
  • Efficiently growing a client base and corresponding revenue stream.

Skills/behavioural attributes required:

  • Minimum of 1 year B2B sales experience within the energy industry either from a broker or a supplier
  • Target and results driven - desire to exceed targets and achieve success is vital.
  • Experience in a high-volume cold call environment is also essential.
  • The ability to quickly build effective relationships and gain commitment over the phone.
  • Ability to be flexible, handle objections, display initiative and work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about making a difference
  • Great interpersonal skills and consistently display excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Computer literate and possess excellent organisational and administrative skills.
