I am currently working with a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in Southwest London. The company are looking to hire a Logistics and Marketing Graduate to ultimately control and combine four areas of the business; import/export, engineer booking, spare parts ordering and marketing. The company produce state of the art machinery, each machine costing millions of pounds.

The role:

In this newly created, varied role you will be responsible for the import/export, engineer booking, spare parts ordering and marketing for the business across the UK. Specifically:

  • Generating the spare parts import log on SAP and updating control sheets
  • Organising vendor invoices/customs documentation/airway bill and customs declaration
  • Checking parts imported and updating commodity codes/origin/weights on SAP where necessary
  • Checking customs declarations to ensure data submitted to HMRC is correct
  • Creating SAP master data as required
  • Processing vendor invoices and corrections to purchase orders
  • Runing billing on SAP
  • Coordinating spare part ordering and inventory
  • Taking phone calls and emails from clients
  • Organising work schedules for ten engineers, both planned service visits and breakdowns
  • Taking an active role in marketing, advertising and general promotion
  • Visiting sites to take photographs
  • Creating and sending mailshots
  • Analysing feedback from mailshots to then drive companies of interest with the sales team
  • Creating magazine articles and video
  • Creating brochures, calendars and other promotional items
