We are seeking a proactive and skilled Marketing and Social Media Assistant to support the operational aspects of our new marketing strategy. This role is pivotal in managing our social media campaigns, developing new channel content, and ensuring the effective reach and visibility of our initiatives across diverse audiences.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the LinkedIn channel, coordinating content and posting updates.
  • Write and publish news items on the website using Drupal CMS.
  • Proofread, edit, and format marketing content to align with our brand and style guidelines.
  • Generate engaging digital content tailored to various audiences.
  • Create and deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in planning and executing creative marketing campaigns using diverse communication methods.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign effectiveness using Matomo website analytics.
  • Conduct research using tools like Survey Monkey to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, providing marketing support and guidance.
  • Maintain relationships with external suppliers, including advertising and marketing services agencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in using CMS (Drupal, PHP) for online content creation and publication.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting social media campaigns.
  • Excellent writing skills for creating briefs and presentations.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Confident in liaising with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and publishing online content via CMS.
  • Background in a social media environment and campaign support.
  • Skilled in presenting to stakeholders both online and in-person.
  • Knowledge of research methods and data analysis to support marketing insights.
Desirables:
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint or other presentation software.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
