Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role requires expertise in market research, product development, and promotional activities, with a focus on sustainability and paid advertising. Experience in the travel industry is highly desirable. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings, execute effective marketing strategies, and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential markets and customer needs. Compile detailed insights into product or service offerings to guide strategic decision-making.
- Strategic Consultation:
- Work closely with legal teams to address copyright and royalty matters.
- Partner with buying teams to identify environmentally sustainable product options and analyse market demand trends.
- Collaborate with product development teams on design, packaging, and other specifications.
- Promotional Activities:
- Plan and execute promotional events, trade shows, and marketing campaigns, working alongside advertisers, developers, and production managers.
- Develop and implement strategies that align with organisational goals to effectively promote products and services.
- Pricing and Product Strategy:
- Provide input into pricing strategies to balance organisational objectives with customer satisfaction. Recommend product or packaging improvements to enhance market appeal and sustainability.
- Paid Advertising:
- Utilise expertise in paid advertising to design, monitor, and optimise campaigns across platforms, ensuring strong performance and ROI.
- Sustainability Focus:
- Identify and recommend environmentally sound practices, including product modifications and sustainable packaging solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in market research, product marketing, and campaign management.
- Background in the travel industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of consumer behaviour within this sector.
- Proficient in paid advertising platforms and campaign optimisation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across diverse teams.
