Web Development & Marketing Platforms Project Manager

6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 (Umbrella/PAYE)

Remote / Paddington

My client who are a specialised technology company are looking to recruit a Web Development and Marketing Platforms Project Manager to join them on an initial 6-month contract, working with their team based in London Paddington. The Web Development and Marketing Platforms Project Manager will focus on the implementation of small, medium and large projects including key digital systems.

Key Responsibilities for the Web Development and Marketing Platforms Project Manager:

  1. Project Leadership:
    1. Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for software projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
    2. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising resources and efforts effectively.
    3. Define project objectives, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
    4. Ensure authorised projects have the appropriate resources and funding assigned to them.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Global Marketing & Sales, regulatory, IT, and external vendors.
    2. Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure requirements are accurately captured and delivered.
  3. System Implementation:
    1. Oversee the implementation of software, ensuring integration with existing platforms and compliance with data security standards.
    2. Manage the development and enhancement of company websites, ensuring they meet accessibility, usability, and branding standards.
    3. Ensure release procedures and appropriate governance are adhered to.
  4. Compliance and Data Privacy:
    1. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and industry standards throughout the program lifecycle. Oversee the deployment of customer consent management systems to ensure data privacy compliance.
  5. Risk and Issue Management:
    1. Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
    2. Resolve project issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize disruption to business operations.
  6. Team Leadership:
    1. Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
    2. Evaluate performance metrics and implement continuous improvement practices for programme delivery.

Key skills and experience for the Web Development and Marketing Platforms Project Manager

  • Experience with e-commerce, customer engagement tools, and data-driven marketing integrations.
  • Marketing automation, and CRM platforms** (e.g., MS Dynamics). Expertise in customer journey mapping, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and personalized user experiences.
  • Proven experience launching B2B/B2C e-commerce platforms with integrations to CRM, SAP, payment, and PIM systems.
  • Knowledge of headless commerce architectures (composable frontends + commercetools/Contentful) and omnichannel strategies. Hands-on experience integrating of marketing stacks (email automation, CDPs, analytics) with web/mobile platforms, Google Analytics 4. Data-driven campaigns using A/B testing tools (Optimizely) and personalized content delivery. Payment processors, social media ads, SMS/email providers) and managed API gateways.
  • Implemented *GDPR/CCPA-compliant data collection pipelines, cookie consent managers (OneTrust), and CDP integrations. Experience with first-party data strategy and deprecation of third-party cookies.
  • UX/UI for Conversion Optimization
  • Collaborated with UX teams to design high-converting landing pages, mobile app flows, and checkout experiences.
  • Used tools like Figma, session recordings, and funnel analysis.
  • Ad Tech & Analytics Expertise
  • Real-time marketing reporting.
  • Piloted AI/ML-driven features Product recommendations, chatbots)
  • Adopted low-code tools (Webflow, Unbounce) for rapid campaign landing pages
  • Cross-functional leadership bridging*marketing, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Expertise in global campaign rollouts and localization (multi-language platforms).
