Key Responsibilities:

Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as washing, dressing, eating, mobilizing, and toileting. Support patients with their physical, emotional, and social needs in a respectful and dignified manner.

Clinical Support: Assist with basic clinical tasks under the guidance of registered nurses, including taking vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.), recording patient observations, and assisting with wound care or personal hygiene.

Leadership & Supervision: Supervise and support junior HCAs and other healthcare assistants, ensuring that they provide high-quality care. Provide guidance and mentorship, offering support with training and development, and ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical standards.

Patient Monitoring: Monitor and report on the condition of patients, including changes in health, mobility, or behavior. Escalate concerns to nursing staff or medical professionals as needed.

Record Keeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with healthcare policies and legal requirements. Document patient care activities and report any changes in patient conditions or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professional.

Collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Attend and contribute to team meetings and handovers.

Patient Advocacy & Emotional Support: Be a patient advocate, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment.
