As the SeniorRecovery Nurse/Practitioneryour responsibilities will include:

  • Deputising in the absence of the Lead Practitioner.
  • Assisting in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Ensuring high clinical standards and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Managing operating lists, staff skills, and equipment.
  • Maintaining equipment and contributing to budget management.
  • Training and orientating new staff, including bank, agency, and students.
  • Participating in incident investigations and quality audits.

The ideal Senior Recovery Nurse will have:
  • Registered NMC/HCPC status.
  • A degree and considerable further professional development.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • At least 3years of post-qualification experience in an operating theatre setting.
  • Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across varied patient case mixes.
  • An ILS/ALS qualification or working towards.
