A leading Facilities Management service provider is seeking an experienced and skilled Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a commercial building in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished professional to work within a prestigious environment, delivering high-quality maintenance services and ensuring the smooth operation of critical HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of air conditioning, refrigeration, and HVAC systems including split systems, VRV/VRF units, AHUs, chillers, and cold rooms.
  • Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning plant, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to building operations.
  • Monitor system performance, pressures, temperatures, and efficiency, making necessary adjustments to optimise performance.
  • Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, environmental policies, and all relevant health & safety legislation.
  • Assist with system upgrades, refurbishments, and installation projects where required.
  • Complete accurate maintenance logs, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with client representatives and other stakeholders, providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Support and collaborate with other on-site engineers to ensure seamless operations across the site.
Key Requirements:
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Air Conditioning, or Refrigeration (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) - Essential.
  • Valid and current F-Gas Certification (Category 1) - Essential.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing of air conditioning and refrigeration systems within a commercial environment.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and safe working practices.
  • Experience working in high-end commercial, critical, or corporate environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a professional and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
