An exciting opportunity has emerged with a growing, family-owned M&E contractor, recognized for its excellence in delivering top-tier design & build projects across the industry. This medium-sized, dynamic company has recently secured a landmark 18 million mixed-use development in collaboration with one of the UK's most prestigious main contractors. This flagship project, based in London Bridge, is currently in the pre-construction phase and is set to become one of the most high-profile developments in the area. Due to business growth my client are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer from Graduate level up to Assistant level to join the team.

This opportunity will allow you to work directly under an accomplished M&E Project Director who has successfully delivered projects worth up to 50 million in MEP value. With their leadership, you will have the chance to rapidly enhance your career and gain exposure to complex, large-scale schemes.

Due to an influx of high-value projects with secured work until 2027, this role has been created to assist in the delivery of key projects, managing them from pre-construction through to final handover. By playing a pivotal role in this high-profile scheme, the successful candidate will have a clear path toward fast-tracked career progression, with opportunities to advance quickly within this growing and respected M&E subcontractor.

Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical Qualifications: Holding recognized qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Design Review: Oversee and refine mechanical design elements, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.
  • Mechanical Package Management: Manage all mechanical packages and ensure efficient coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Technical Submittals & RFI's: Preparation and submission of technical documents and requests for information (RFI) as required.
  • Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant with technical requirements.
  • Commercial & Technical Reviews: Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to review both commercial and technical elements of the project.
  • Programme Management: Oversee project timelines and manage schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Lead the procurement process and manage subcontractor packages effectively, ensuring compliance with project needs.
  • Installation & Commissioning Management: Supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, with a particular focus on CE marked dampers and other critical components.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure installations meet all regulatory and project-specific standards while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce on-site health and safety policies, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and updates on project performance.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptation: Identify potential issues early and work with the team to implement timely solutions that keep the project on track.
