Our client is on the search for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a flagship site in the heart of London. You will join the largest building service providers in the UK who are well renowned for progressing their engineers with additional training and career development. You will be working on a commercial property in the City of London on a fixed 4 4 on 4 off days only pattern (7am - 7pm).In this role you will be expected to undergo PPM and reactive maintenance tasks and respond to any on site emergencies. To be successful in this role you will need to be a motivated individual who is prepared to thrive in a client facing environment. You will also have to be fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent). To succeed in this role you will also need to have at least three years experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within commercial.Key Duties:
- Identify and diagnose faults, conducting repairs, adjustments, and necessary maintenance tasks as needed.
- Perform routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments on plant or machinery as per the planned maintenance schedule provided by Engineering Supervisors, Building Services Manager, and FM Help desk.
- Adopt a flexible approach, utilising various skills or trades as required to ensure cost-effective task completion.
- Execute additional skilled tasks for which proficiency has been demonstrated.
- Monitor plant equipment, recording data accurately using provided documentation.
- Strive for optimal plant and equipment efficiency by adhering to prescribed requirements and instructions.
- Aid in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in work areas, removing waste and debris as necessary.
- Document and complete daily time/task sheets following established procedures.
- Fulfil other reasonable duties as directed by the Estate Services Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
Technical Requirements:
- City and Guilds qualified in Mechanical Engineering (C&G / NVQ or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a modern building services maintenance environment, and able to demonstrate basic understanding of HVAC and building services.
