The Role:
So, what will you be doing as an Equipment Management Specialist ?
- Follow prescribed procedures to receive, check, record, store, issue, and expedite all parts, materials, and equipment related to GFE.
- Maintain GFE for all assets, ensuring timely updates as per customer requirements.
- Liaise with Programme Management and Commercial teams to define GFE requirements.
- Raise discrepancy reports and quarantine assets as necessary.
- Work with project teams and asset originators to resolve discrepancies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all GFE-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
- Process all incoming and outgoing paperwork, maintaining accurate GFE filing systems and records.
- Manage and track all movements within the GFE store.
- Coordinate with other departments to expedite urgently needed assets.
- Oversee annual stock takes, storeroom inventory checks, and support customer audits.
- Fulfil required reporting obligations within specified deadlines.
- Serve as the customer point of contact for all GFE-related matters.
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
What are we looking for in our next Equipment Management Specialist?
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
- Relevant experience in inventory control, supply chain management, or logistics.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and ensure compliance.
- Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and document management.
- Knowledge of defence reporting requirements and regulations is advantageous.
