Join a world leader in the Energy, Chemicals, and Petroleum insurance sectors. They are looking to recruit an additional senior engineer to work in their fast-growing and well-established London hub, supporting EMEA.

The company provides risk engineering services worldwide for clients in all COMAH sectors, from oil and gas exploration and production through refining and downstream petrochemicals.

The role will be heavily client-facing. It will involve undertaking physical condition surveys of client assets, generating descriptions of processes and their key control features, producing building and plant loss/replacement estimates, conducting training and benchmarking exercises, and performing desktop risk assessment, mitigation exercises, and ERM-type studies. 

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity for extensive travel, with 70 to 80 days spent at client sites within the Middle East and further afield. Surveys typically last 2 to 5 days, providing a dynamic and varied work environment.  

Required Experience: 

  • Substantial experience within oil & gas, LNG, refining or petrochemical operations, possibly at a leadership level
  • Experience in asset integrity, operational process safety, and group auditing would be particularly beneficial
  • A mixed-up and downstream background in energy, refining and petrochemicals, technical support, production, and maintenance functions would be ideal
  • A degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering is the preferred technical qualification
