A leading name in high-end refurbishment and construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Intermediate Technical Services Manager with a mechanical focus to join our dynamic team in London. Role Overview: As an Intermediate Technical Services Manager with a mechanical bias, you will oversee the mechanical aspects of our high-end refurbishment projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems critical to luxury environments. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution from planning through to completion. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all mechanical services activities on refurbishment projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant mechanical regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality assessments specific to mechanical installations to uphold craftsmanship standards.
  • Liaise with mechanical subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Provide mechanical expertise and guidance to project teams throughout the project life cycle.
  • Monitor the installation and performance of mechanical systems, identifying areas for improvement to optimise efficiency and sustainability.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to safety protocols, particularly in relation to mechanical work, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in technical services management with a strong focus on mechanical systems within the high-end refurbishment sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, particularly in mechanical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and mechanical analysis.
