We are currently on the search for an experienced Lead Engineer to join our well established client on one of their flagship sites located near Farringdon. Fantastic opportunity for a maintenance engineer to prove themselves in a high end, flagship site. You will be given the necessary opportunities to progress further within the company, additional training and valuable experience.This role will have you undergo PPM and Reactive maintenance on Mechanical and Electrical equipment, oversee the work of the maintenance team on site, strengthen relations with the clients and ensure all compliance is adhered to. This is a static role, following a fixed pattern of Monday - Friday, 8 -5 To be successful in this role, you will need to be fully qualified in either Electrical Installations or Mechanical related Engineering (City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent), at least 5 years experience in commercial maintenance and possess an excellent client facing attitude.Lead Engineer Duties:

  • Lead and organise a team of engineers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance and safety regulations are met.
  • Plan and execute both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with the team to maintain high standards of building services.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various plant and equipment, including:
  • HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
  • BMS (Building Management Systems)
  • Chillers and boilers
  • Electrical distribution systems and switchgear
  • Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
  • Water treatment systems
  • Escalators and elevators
  • Generators and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
  • Lighting control systems

Lead Engineer Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in either Electrical Installations or Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial maintenance
  • Prior experience as a lead engineer - Desirable
  • Polite and personable
  • Apprentice trained - Desirable
