Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Static Site, South East LondonSalary: £47,000 + overtimeWorking Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm + call out rota
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with leadership experience?
The Role:As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all mechanical systems on a static site in South East London. Leading a team of five skilled engineers, you will ensure the efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Overseeing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Attending to reactive maintenance issues promptly.
- Supporting and participating in the call-out rota.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the team.
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing,and heating systems
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
