Day to day of the role of a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging and informative practical sessions in the mechanical workshop, focusing on turning, milling, fitting, and sheet metal techniques.
  • Create and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and practical exercises that align with industry standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Evaluate student progress through practical assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support students in their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and support the engineering department.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the role of a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer :

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Teaching or Assessing qualification.
  • Ability to deliver engineering skills across levels 2,3 and HNC/D
  • Motivated by helping others learn and making a difference in their lives.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest quality of teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Willingness to work towards assessor or teacher qualifications if not already obtained.
