M&E ManagerFull Time, 40 hours per week | 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday | Site-based

Job Purpose:To manage, develop, and monitor all technical MEP and Fabric-related services at a West London commercial estate, working with technical service partners to ensure continuous delivery of services to tenants while protecting and enhancing landlord assets. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe operation of these services, contributing to the overall vision of the organisation. Reporting to the Technical Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage all Hard Services operations, delivering effective asset management services for MEP, Building Fabric, and Vertical Transportation in line with operational requirements and service partner contracts.
  • Support the overall performance of the Hard Services contract, ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are met, including regular communication with the incumbent MEP provider.
  • Assist with the management of technical projects and audits, ensuring all services meet the required standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of engineering services, plant, and overall operation in line with estate management standards and industry practices.
  • Review plant and system performance, proposing solutions for any unsatisfactory areas.
  • Ensure operational, planned, and reactive maintenance activities are scheduled and completed in accordance with statutory legislation and ISO certification standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed and associated financial costs, providing regular updates to the Head of Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and ensure permit procedures are followed.
  • Manage compliance with statutory requirements, including inspections, audits, and the resolution of any remedial works.
  • Financial accountability for fabric and MEP repair works, ensuring service charge cash flow is effectively managed and works are scheduled appropriately.
  • Oversee the management of the estate's health and safety systems.
  • Lead and engage with contractors, reviewing performance and holding regular meetings to monitor contract performance.
  • Act as the technical contact for leasing teams, reviewing the scope of works, and authorising fit-out projects.
  • Lead on M&E standards and procedures across the estate, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
  • Provide on-call support for emergency procedures and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Experience to support the planning and delivery of events and guest experience initiatives.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement with the leadership team and other departments.

Personal Attributes:

  • Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience managing M&E services within high-end, fast-paced commercial environments
  • Proven organisational and end-to-end project management skills
  • IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum, NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems within buildings
  • Experience in facilities management and MEP-related technical services
  • Strong budgeting, planning, and financial management skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a multi-tasking environment with attention to detail
  • Innovative, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Unquestionable integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
