What you'll do:
- Lead development of manipulation software, ensuring precision, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, AI researchers, and software teams to integrate manipulation capabilities into robotic systems.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in manipulation algorithms, robotic control, and AI methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and debug manipulation software, providing technical support where needed.
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in software development for robotics.
Your background:
- Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on robotic manipulation, motion planning, or related fields.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS.
- Strong understanding of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
- Experience with motion planning algorithms (e.g., RRT, PRM) and optimization methods.
- Familiarity with perception techniques such as computer vision, depth sensing, and tactile sensing.
- Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo or V-REP.
- Understanding of AI methodologies, including Transformers for perception and decision-making.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in robotic manipulation, AI, and automation.
Offices based in London - hybrid working.
