Manipulation Lead

A cutting-edge robotics start-up is pushing the limits of AI and automation, and we need your expertise to help power the future of robotics and I'm searching for a Manipulation Lead to join their growing team.

What you'll do:

  • Lead development of manipulation software, ensuring precision, reliability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, AI researchers, and software teams to integrate manipulation capabilities into robotic systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in manipulation algorithms, robotic control, and AI methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and debug manipulation software, providing technical support where needed.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in software development for robotics.

Your background:

  • Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on robotic manipulation, motion planning, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS.
  • Strong understanding of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
  • Experience with motion planning algorithms (e.g., RRT, PRM) and optimization methods.
  • Familiarity with perception techniques such as computer vision, depth sensing, and tactile sensing.
  • Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo or V-REP.
  • Understanding of AI methodologies, including Transformers for perception and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in robotic manipulation, AI, and automation.

Offices based in London - hybrid working.
