Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: London (EC4A)

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Pay: Circa £24 per hour

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer based in a large, public building in the City of London (EC4A).

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Recognized Mechanical and Electrical Engineering qualifications
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experienced in fault-finding for:
  • BMS (Building Management Systems)
  • LTHW (Low-Temperature Hot Water) systems
  • CLTHW (Closed Loop Hot Water) systems
  • HVAC, pumps, motors, LV power systems
  • First Aid at Work certification

Desirable Qualifications

  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395
  • Experience with Cooling Towers
  • IPAF Certification for 3a & 3b machines
  • Knowledge of the L8 Approved Code of Practice (ACOP)
  • Permit to Work (PTW) system knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication with customers on site.
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines and ensure robust practices.
  • Prioritize workload and manage compliance with contract KPIs and SLAs.
  • Support the account and broader business with other reasonable tasks.
