The Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer and take on a key role in leading mechanical engineering projects from conception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Design & System Expertise: Develop and design HVAC, plumbing, heat pump, and fire protection systems for commercial and residential buildings, ensuring energy efficiency and regulatory compliance
  • Site Surveys & Technical Drawings: Conduct independent site assessments, produce actionable reports, and create precise layouts using AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Energy Management: Integrate energy-efficient systems, renewable technologies, and low-carbon solutions, meeting BREEAM, LEED, and UK standards
  • Client Liaison & Project Management: Present designs clearly to clients, and work closely with project teams to meet timelines and standards
  • Mechanical Team Lead: Leading and mentoring the Mechanical Design Engineering team


The Ideal Candidate

Were looking for a proactive engineer with strong technical skills and leadership capabilities, ready to contribute to impactful projects in the building services industry.

You will have:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ideally Masters level) with IEng/CEng accreditation
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for building services
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, BIM, and SAP
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards
  • Membership or working towards professional certification with CIBSE or IMechE
