- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including ventilation and cooling, for London Underground and rail infrastructure projects.
- Produce detailed designs, calculations, and specifications in accordance with LU and TFL standards.
- Conduct ventilation assessments, fire strategy integration, and airflow analysis.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and fire safety engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee compliance with industry regulations, including BS, CIBSE, and London Underground standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to review designs and provide technical guidance.
- Attend design coordination meetings and conduct site visits where required.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly within London Underground or rail infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of LU/TFL design standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes (BS, CIBSE, etc.).
- Proficiency in design software such as Hevacomp and AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
- Ability to work independently within a consultancy environment, ensuring designs meet project specifications and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
