Having recently secured and commenced site works on a new build commercial building scheme with a MEP buildings services value worth £38m, my client requires an accomplished mechanical project engineer to join the existing team, bolstering the a team which the client already refers to as a 'stand out' project management team.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Identifying and resolve technical issues for all aspects of the mechanical services installing and design
  • Procurement from materials
  • Plant and suppliers
  • Implementation of QC-QC procedures for the life cycle of the project
  • Producing a project specific documentation system with a full audit trial
  • Attend regular stake holder meetingswith main contractors, subcontractors, design consultancies, commercial teams to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme,paperworkmanagement;risk assessments, method statements, Health and Safety documentation
  • Monitor and document on site progressagainst project programmes
  • Undertake regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and to ensure resources are matched to the construction programme
  • liaisingwith the project management team
  • Review the allocation of resources against project progress

Requirements:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Specific recent experience in the role within the commercial new build market
