We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineering Teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to young people aged 16-19. This role is ideal for both qualified teachers and those with a wealth of engineering experience who are looking to gain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be part of a talented staff team at a successful Sixth Form, supported to develop your teaching practice in an environment of positive encouragement and mutual respect.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment in Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Stretch and challenge students to reach their potential, ensuring they feel confident about their future careers.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that inspire and motivate students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of teaching practices and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a teaching qualification.
  • Assessor qualification is required.
  • Experience in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality education.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students aged 16-19.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • For unqualified teachers, willingness to undergo training to obtain a recognised teaching qualification.
