I am looking for an experienced P-way Project Engineer to deliver track engineering and technical excellence across frameworks in the South of England.



The Role

As Project Engineer, you'll play a critical part in ensuring track engineering works are delivered to the highest technical standards. This role would suit an experienced Permanent Way Engineer capable of operating at Designated Project Engineer (DPE) level.

You'll bring previous experience working on track-focused programmes and take ownership of technical delivery, client liaison, and risk management.



Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure technical compliance with Group, client, and company standards across allocated contracts

  • Act as the technical P-Way contact, liaising with clients and subcontractors to resolve assurance and integration issues

  • Oversee the seamless integration of design, installation, and testing

  • Conduct project risk assessments and assist with tender preparation

  • Attend and contribute to engineering reviews for assigned contracts



Essential Requirements

  • Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE) or working towards chartership

  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience

  • Proven track record managing planning, design reviews, and delivery of Permanent Way works


Desirable

  • A degree in Rail Engineering or a related discipline is advantageous, though not essential
