I am currently recruiting for an exciting start-up business who are looking for an experienced design engineer to join their team in London.
They are looking for a Design Engineer/ Senior Design engineer who has a minimum of 8 years experience and can effectively demonstrate their experience of taking products through to mass production, who can contribute to the development of their new and exciting consumer goods product.
A portfolio is required for submission and needs to showcase execution of a product from concept through to production.
As a Senior Design Engineer will you be responsible for:
- Robust 3D CAD modelling.
- Leading design studies to solve technical or consumer issues found in the development of a product.
- End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
- Experience of high-volume manufacturing process and applying to designs.
- Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
- Collaborating seamlessly across all teams ensuring effective professional communication with all colleagues.
To be considered for this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 8 years experience within a Product Design, Mechanical and Engineering environment.
- Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product, Mechanical and Industrial Design Engineering.
- Experience in consumer electronics.
- Proven experience in developing plastic injection moulded components and enclosures for mass manufacture.
- Experience getting a product ready for production.
- Strong 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks.
- Appreciation for electrical engineering is helpful.
- An eye for detail.
