-THE ROLE;

  • As Specification Manager, Business development manager, you'll be selling our client's leading energy efficient HVAC solutions across London and the M25.
  • You'll be gaining specifications with Architects, M&E consultants and consulting engineers 80-90% of the time and then tracking the project through with the M&E contractor and building services/MEP contractor.
  • As Specification Manager, you'll be influencing the M&E consultants, architects and building services consultants on a diverse range of sectors and projects, such as schools, universities, shopping centres, supermarkets and retail outlets, hospitals, care homes, commercial offices, warehousing, factories, sports and leisure centres, airports- the potential is huge. 
  • Gaining specifications with these highly regarded, energy and cost saving heating products, air curtains, fan coil units, cassette heaters, fan convectors. 
  • As Specification Manager, Business development manager, you'll be covering Greater London and the M25. 
  • The typical order value on projects will be circa £50k- £80k, although the company gains lots of projects with orders of £250k- £500k+.
  • You'll typically present 3 CPD seminars per month, to educate the specifiers on the features, advantages and benefits of your range of HVAC products.
  • You'll be on the road 4 days per week visiting specifiers and 1 day per week working from home, making appointments, follow ups and admin. 

-THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

  • The successful Specification Manager, Business development manager will have a proven track record of specification sales experience in the HVAC/ building services market with Architects, M&E consultants and consulting engineers.
  • Aligned products such as AHU's, chillers, boilers, pumps would be very relevant.
  • You will have the ability and experience of looking at technical design reviews, schematic take offs and mark ups, assess customer requirements and advise on the most appropriate solution to meet the clients needs. 
  • You will assist the internal sales and design team in engineering technical solutions and have knowledge of competitors fan coils, how they work and the advantages of your products. 
  • You will have good commercial acumen and be able to track the project through to completion with the M&E contractor and installer.
  • You will be outgoing, organised, an influencer and problem solver, able to prioritise and work under pressure. 
  • A good team player.
  • You will have a full UK drivers licence.

-THE REMUNERATION;

  • £52,000- £60,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
  • 20% bonus potential.
  • Executive company car, such as electric or hybrid BMWs or Mercedes, or £550 per month car allowance.
  • 25 days holiday, plus 8 Bank holidays.
  • Matching company and employee pension contributions up to 6%.
  • 4x death in service.
