The Successful Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Field Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance across a variety of compressed air systems. From compressors to vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and nitrogen generators, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing performance for major customers across various industries. This is a field based position taking you to customer sites throughout the South UK, predominantly within the m25 corridor.
The Trainee Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Field Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electrical fault finding and systems troubleshooting, coupled with a strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and new challenges.

Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Field Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Working at customer sites throughout the South UK, predominantly within the m25 corridor with occasional travel to the office near Stratford, London for training and parts collection.
Trainee Service Engineer / Trainee Field Service Technician / Junior Service Engineer Requirements
Ability to learn diagnostics on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domains. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electrical fault finding and systems troubleshooting, coupled with a strong enthusiasm for continuous learning and adapting to novel challenges.
Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls is highly advantageous.
Background in the compressed air industry or related electromechanical fields (e.g., filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics) would be advantageous.
Flexibility to travel occasionally to the office near Stratford, London for training and parts collection
