About the Role
Join the Northolt Tunnels East Engineering Team as a Tunnel Engineer. This is a dynamic and collaborative role that combines office-based technical work with substantial time spent on-site and in the tunnels. You will play a key part in managing engineering processes, analyzing data, and ensuring the successful delivery of tunnel projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production and approval of DTAP sheets for TBM works.
- Monitor compliance with DTAP and address deviations as necessary.
- Prepare RESS sheets for sprayed concrete lining (SCL) works and ensure timely approvals.
- Oversee temporary works related to the assigned tunnel drive.
- Manage the analysis of settlement data to ensure compliance with DTAP requirements.
- Oversee quality control processes, including Field Change Documents (FCD), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and Requests for Information (RFI), in collaboration with the Construction Assurance Engineering Manager.
- provide input for the Tunneling Engineering Manager’s production of drive reports.
- Collate inputs for the Daily Shift Review Group (SRG) meetings.
- Conduct engineering reviews of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) as directed
- Support design and construction teams with expert advice and guidance, contributing to overall project success.
Technical Engineering Support:
Work closely with the Northolt Tunnels East Engineering team to support the delivery of tunneling projects.
Data Analysis and Presentation:
Interrogate and analyze project data effectively.
Present findings clearly and concisely in team meetings and project reviews.
Site and Tunnel Operations:
Spend significant time on-site and within the tunnels, ensuring alignment between technical plans and on-ground execution.
Multi-Software Proficiency:
Operate across multiple software platforms, managing data and processes efficiently to meet deadlines.
Collaboration:
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, providing technical insights and working towards project milestones.
