Responsibility - Managing an experienceddesign and specification team of 5
Location - London / Greater London / Home Counties(Work from home 3 days per week)
Package - 48k - 55k + bonus, company car, car allowance, healthcare, pension and dental.
Candidate - Team management, leadership, estimation, quote, design, specification, diagram interpretation, advise, office experience or practical experience ideally with either a Mechanical Engineering Degree or industry qualifications such has City & Guilds, NVQ air conditioning, heating and ventilation, heat pumps or plumbing e.g. BPEC, G3 and Unvented Hot Water.
The Role
Leading national provider of Energy Efficient Renewables and heat pumps seeks a Lead Design Engineerto run their domestic heatingspecification team that provide everything from technical advice to quoting, designing, estimating and specifying. You will be specifying the latestAir Source Heat Pumps,Air to Water Heat Pumps, Monobloc systems, Water to Water Heat Pumps and Ground Source Heat Pumpsfor both new build domestic housing projects and retro fit social housing projects.
Experience Required
As this is a managementrole you must have some team management experience, along with your own successful background of estimating, designing, and quoting residential heating projects using heat pumps (air source heat pumps or ground source heat pumps) or even, boilers, piping, plumbing, mechanical ventilation and underfloor heating. It will be ideal if you can interpret technical schematics, plumbing layouts, wiring diagrams and if you are up to date on current industry water regulations. If your experience is more on commercial heating with water-to-water heat pumps and other central plant heating such as CHP please still apply.

The Package
Initial indications by the client are a base package range for the Lead Design Engineerof between 48,000 and 55,000 with bonus although there may be some further flexibility depending on your experience and suitability for the position. You will also receive a company car or car allowance, health care, dental insurance, pension scheme and sports social club scheme.
