Deverellsmith are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our clients team. They are a highly successful and well established Residential Developer who are passionate about quality and customer service.

The role is will involve visiting properties across London carrying out remedial works so you must be experienced across, joinery, hanging and refitting doors, painting and decorating, mastic, patch plastering and tiling.

Main responsibilities:

  • Painting, decorating, making good following works, and attending to all related general maintenance tasks.
  • Attend to issues booked into your diary by customer care team on time.
  • Investigate all issues and report back to customer care on any further actions.
  • Undertake remedial and de-snagging works in a thorough manner - always clean and tidy.
  • Attend to issues raised by Directors.
  • Although it is rare for an out of hours emergency to arise, we would expect assistance if an issue should arise.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of company van, ensuring all tools are in good order, to ensure that daily tasks can be addressed.
  • Comply with all health and safety standards associated with the role.



The position will mainly be based in NW London, however you will be provided with a company vehicle as the position will also involve travelling to different properties around the Greater London area so a clean driving license is essential.

The Maintenance Manager will be comfortable in dealing with contractors and personnel at all levels. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. We are looking for an empathic communicator, with a broad skill base.

You will be a self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and personal pride in delivering quality work, keen to go the extra mile to support the business. The personality of the maintenance manager is essential in this role as they will be dealing with a broad range of customers who have very high expectations.
